Embossed Lovely As a Tree

Happy Thursday to you!! It's the day before Halloween and I'm posting a Christmas card! Oh well! I was at Archivers this morning (had to use my coupons!) and saw a card that I thought I could create using my Stampin' Up! stamps. This card is much prettier in real life! The card is Shimmery White Cardstock, then I embossed silver trees on Brushed Gold CS, then embossed a gold sentiment on Brushed Silver CS.
Have a great day!

Party Hearty Ideas!

Hi! I haven't had the opportunity to stamp anything new or take any pictures of projects, so I'm sharing some projects from our demonstrator website. One of the perks of being a SU! Demonstrator is that we have access to hundreds, if not thousands, different ideas! It's a wonderful resource for inspiration! The projects that I am sharing with you today, are created by a very talented demonstrator. Her name is Michelle Fischer, and she is an Artisan Award Winner at Stampin' Up! All 3 projects use the Party Hearty stamp set! And it's on sale this month. Please contact me if you are interested in getting this set at a discounted price. Enjoy these adorable ideas!

Our weekend at The Lake

Hi! We went to The Lake this past weekend for a little get-away weekend. RJ went with us, along with my parents. We had a great time, although RJ started getting sick on the first night we were there. But we still managed to have a good time. We lit a cozy fire and played cards at night. Although it rained on our drive down to the Lake (saw some beautiful rainbows though!), we had awesome Fall weather on Saturday and Sunday! We walked around the resort and enjoyed the great weather. After a late breakfast on Saturday, we took a drive to Bagnell Dam, and stopped at a conservation area. Here is a picture of the Dam.
RJ's favorite part was throwing rocks in the Lake. When we said we were going to the Lake, the first thing RJ would say was, "and we throw rocks in the Lake!". So he had a great time and he has a great arm!
And finally, here is a picture from our balcony at the condo. The leaves were not very vibrant, but they were still pretty to look at. There were lot of deep colors!
Hopefully, I will have some things to share this week. So please check back. I have both of my boys home sick today, so hopefully, I'll get some things done. I can only hope that I don't get sick!!!
Have a great week!

Snow-Swirled Trees!

Hi! When Sally came over to stamp on Tuesday evening, I created these 2 cards. Sally was working on completing a set of cards from a class, which was given by another demonstrator friend of ours, Sarah. (Hi Sarah!) I fell in love with several of her cards. I had to recreate a couple of them! If I can remember correctly, I changed it up a bit by adding a rhinestone brad at the top of the tree, and stamping my sentiment in the center. But I stuck with the same colors. Love the colors!!! Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, White, & Kraft.

Then I thought I would create the card again, but only this time, I changed the colors. Isn't it pretty? Don't know which one I like better. I used Mellow Moss, Riding Hood Red, White, & Kraft. Here it is:
The tree is embossed in white on both cards. The tree really pops on the Kraft Cardstock! And the ribbon is just so pretty! Another potential candidate for my Holiday Stamp-A-Stack.

Ok, I'm off to bed now. Good night!

Some fun stamping!

Hello friends! I did some fun stamping tonight! My stampin' friend and fellow demonstrator, Sally, came over tonight for an evening of stampin'. I had a great time! We ordered pizza and shared several things we were working on! I was so inspired by many things that she was working on, and was able to create some of my own cards. Here is a card that Sally gave to me as a thank you for having her over for the evening! Isn't it adorable? Sally, thanks so much for coming over tonight! I enjoyed our time stampin' together!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Bonfire and RJ's friend turns 2!

Hi! We had a great night last night. Joe's brother and sister-in-law had a family bonfire, and the weather was perfect! The bonfire was huge, and at times it was actually a little too hot!! RJ went on a hayride too. It was alot of fun! We stayed out until 12:30 a.m. and RJ didn't want to miss a beat! He was fighting to keep his eyes open as we turned on our street to go home at 1:00 in the morning!!
Several weeks ago, RJ and I were invited to a birthday at the park for RJ's little friend from MOPS and Parent's Day Out. This is the card that I created for his little friend who just turned 2! She is so cute! I used some "old" Designer Paper and the chipboard "2" is from the Hot Spot at Archivers. The "Happy Birthday" is punched out with Stampin' Up's large oval punch, and 2 Perfect Plum large ovals are behind it to add a little color.

Thanks for visiting! I'll have some new stuff this week!

Stamp Club Project #3

Good Friday evening to you!!! Aren't you glad it's the weekend?

Here is the final project we stamped at our last stamp club and my Day-Time Stampin'. This is such a fun card!!!

I know!!! Isn't the inside adorable? Imagine this card with some snowflakes or butterflies? I'll get right on it!! LOL. There are so many possibilites!! It's really quite simple, but don't get frustrated with making just one. After you make one of these cards, the second one is so much easier once you see how it all goes together. I promise!! You can see a tutorial on SCS here.

Have a great weekend!

Let It Snow!

Hi! If you look on page 40 of Stampin' Up's current catalog, you will see where I found my inspiration to create this card. It's never too late to start thinking about your Christmas cards!
I didn't have any Bashful Blue DSP, so I wheeled my Bashful Blue CS with my Snowflake Jumbo Wheel. And I personally did not prefer the Taffeta ribbon that they used, so I changed it out with the Red Striped Ribbon. I thought the striped ribbon was more whimsical and fun for this card. (I'll save my taffeta ribbon for the "pretty" stuff!) I colored the image with my blender pens and ink pads.

This card is a potential candidate for my upcoming Holiday Stamp-A-Stack. Dates coming soon!

Later,
Karen

Supplies:
Stamps: Big on Christmas, Bold Snowflakes Jumbo Wheel
Ink: Bashful Blue, Basic Black
Cardstock: Real Red, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: Silver Brads, Real Red Striped Ribbon, Dimensionals

Some new ideas and work in progress!

Hi!

Just dropping in to share a couple of project ideas that I took from Stampin' Up's Demostrator website and my personal Demonstrator Website.

Below is a pillow box created from The Big Shot! Isn't it cute?
And here is a very simple, but very cute card! My stamp area is a work in progress. Cabinets and countertop are in and I'm putting everything back into it's new home! I absolutely love it! My husband worked very hard this weekend to get it all together! And he even had time to watch the Cowboys football game! Yes, they won, and no, I don't rent him out!!

I'll have a few more things to share with you this week. I need to work on my stamp club for Friday, so I'll have some new stuff to share. I also hosted a great swap with our local demonstrator groups and I have some great ideas to share with you.

Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Birthday Stampin' Up!

Stampin' Up! is celebrating 20 years!! What a memorable year for them! And they just keep getting better and better! I'm very proud to be a part of a wonderful company! To celebrate 20 years, SU! is offering a 20% off selected "party" stamp sets with a $20 qualifying purchase. These stamp sets are adorable! I'm adding a few of them to my collection! You can always use some good birthday stamp sets! And even better...they are on sale!

Here is my stampin' space, as many of you know it. It is being renovated this week! I'm so excited! I'm going to have 16 feet of cabinets and countertop on that back wall! I can't wait! But first I have to clear everything away from my space, so that the new cabinets can go in. My stampin' area is in chaos right now! I'm trying to stay organized, but I have so much stuff! It's unbelievable! I guess I have accumulated quite a few things in 8 years of stamping! I will be back next week to show you some new pictures of my new stampin' space.
Have a great day!
