One of a Kind!

Good Saturday morning to you!! I saw a card on Stampin' Connection (a community for SU! demonstrators) similar to this one, but they used whales instead of the orange/lemon slices. It was really cute! This is actually my second take on this card. You should have seen the first card... oh boy!!! Get out the sunglasses!!! It was bright!! I created it YoYo Yellow and Only Orange...colors I haven't used in years!!!! It was so bright, I couldn't stand it! It went into the trash! LOL!!! So I toned it down a bit with Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie...much better! Wouldn't this card also look cute with the apple in Tart & Tangy??? Green apples with one red one???? I think it would be cute!

Supplies:
Stamps: Tart & Tangy, One of a Kind

Ink: Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie
Paper: Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals

Thanks for stopping by today!! Have a great weekend!

Cheery Cherries Stamp Club Project

Hi! I was waiting for the sun to appear today so that I could take a better picture, but I just don't think that is going to happen. So this is about as good as it is going to get! Don't get me wrong...we needed the rain AND I didn't have to go out and water everything today!!! So it's all good! I have another card to show you, but I hope to get a better picture in the morning for you.

Here is project #3 of 3 that we created at stamp club. My stampers actually created the gable box, and I gave each person the card, already stamped, as my swap card for them. I added Crystal Effects on the cherries! So bright and cheery!

Supplies:
Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Fundamental Phrases
Ink: Real Red, Old Olive & Real Red Markers
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Real Red, So Saffron Prints DSP
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, 1-3/8" Circle Punch, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Gable Box, Crystal Effects

Hope you all had a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!!!

CASE from Catalog!

Hi! I think I'm going to try something and see how it goes. Every Thursday, my plan is to show you a card or something that I created from some type of inspiration from any of Stampin' Up's resources...Idea Book & Catalog, Mini Catalog or Stampin' Success. As you know, there is a TON of inspiration in these publications!! I could get inspiration from a layout, from colors, or from anything seen in these publications that inspire me to create. So we'll see how it goes...

Today's card comes directly from the current catalog, the Spring-Summer 2009 Idea Book & Catalog. On page 123, I pretty well case'd (Copy And Share Everything) the card shown at the bottom of the page. Here is the card out of the catalog...I love the simplicity of it! I changed a couple of things on my card, including rounding the corners, adding the So Saffron CS behind the Whisper White CS, and changing the sentiment. It's super easy! Give it a try!
Supplies:
Stamps: Tart & Tangy, Hugs & Wishes, Polka Dot
Ink: Markers: Pumpkin Pie & So Saffron
Paper: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Whisper White
Accessories: Corner Rounder, Flower Designer Brads, Dimensionals, Paper Snips

Thanks for stopping by!

Updated pictures and dimensions

Hi! Here are the updated pictures of the water bottle and Trident gum holder. I think these are much better from yesterday. As mentioned in my last post, the Crystal Light Holder is 2X7-3/4, scored at 2" & 6" inches. The Trident gum holder is 8-1/2X2-1/2, scored at 2-1/4, 2-3/8, 5-1/2, & 5-5/8 inches. These dimensions are easier for you to understand. Also, the scallop circle is held down with a little Dotto adhesive to keep it closed.

Have a great evening!

Stamp Club Gifts

Here are a couple of gifts that I made for my stamp club members last session. I invited them over for dinner and a fun evening of stamping. Our stamp club ran from July 2007 through June 2008. This group of ladies is such a fun group! I enjoyed making these gifts for them. I also made them a cute post-it note holder that I will share with you later.

Ok, onto the water bottles and gum holders...the Crystal Light holder is 2 x 7-3/4, scored at 2" & 6". And the Trident Gum Holder is 8-1/2 x 2-1/2, scored at...let me get back to you on these scored dimensions. I used some very weird dimensions using 1/16th of an inch. (That's the engineer coming out of me!) These are both very simple to make. I will take a better picture of the water bottle and the gum holder and get it posted for you this week.

Supplies:
Stamps: Tart & Tangy
Cardstock: Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Bashful Blue, Old Olive, Summer Picnic DSP
Ink: Real Red and Old Olive markers, Pumpkin Pie
Accessories: Brads, Scallop Circle Punch, 1-1/4" & 1-3/8 Circle Punches, Word Window Punch, Dimensionals.
Thanks for your visit!
