Three Little Words...

Hi! I was inspired by Mercedes Weber to create this pretty card. I actually saw her card on Stampin' Connection (community for Stampin' Up! Demonstrators), but she does have a blog too! You can check her creations out HERE!! But HERE is the blog post showing her card that I was inspired from. Her card is beautiful!! She used fabric for the butterfly! I changed the colors, sentiment, and DSP.

Supplies:
Stamps: Three Little Words
Ink: Always Artichoke
Paper: Very Vanilla, Always Artichoke, Baja Breeze, Springtime Vintage DSP
Accessories: Top Note Die, Vintage Wallpaper Emboss Folder, Beautiful Wings Die, Big Shot, Very Vanilla Tafetta Ribbon, Dimensionals

For the butterfly, I used a glue stick to adhere the DSP on top of some cardstock. Then I ran it through the Big Shot with the Beautiful Wings Die. This gave it a little more thickness, so that I could easily wrap the ribbon around the cardstock.

Hope you are all staying warm this weekend!! We are expecting more snow on Sunday evening!! I sure hope the kids go back to school on Monday!!

Take care,
Karen

Happy Birthday Cupcake!!

Hi!! Do you have snow in your neck of the woods???? We sure do! St. Louis got hit with a big winter storm on Wednesday evening! Schools were closed today AND they are all closed again tomorrow!!! I guess the cold temperatures are keeping the schools from opening their doors. The streets seem to be clear, but I'm sure they will be icy in the morning with the frigid temps!! Oh well, I guess we get to sleep a little later in the morning!!! And my son and I will not be going anywhere since my car is in the shop. Boo Hoo!!! Not that I would want to buddle up my son and go out in this weather, but just the point that I can't leave!!! It's driving me crazy! I hope my car gets fixed soon!!!

Ok, let's get to stamping, shall we?? Here is a card that I created for my stamp club. There are 2 versions to this card...one with a cherry on top and one with a sparkly heart. Love the new glimmer paper!! Isn't it pretty?

Supplies:
Stamps: Create a Cupcake
Ink: Real Red, Pear Pizzaz, Bashful Blue, Pear Pizzaz & Real Red markers for the cherry
Paper: Real Red, Pear Pizzaz, Bashful Blue, Pacific Point, Whisper White, Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Texture Plates Kit #4, Big Shot, Scallop Edge Border Punch, Build A Cupcake Punch, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Crystal Effects, Rhinestone Jewels, Dimensionals
My plan is to schedule some blog posts for the next couple of days. So please come back and visit!!
Stay warm and take care!

a little Valentines treat for my stamp club!

Hi!!! I have a little Valentines treat to share with you today! I made about a dozen of these to share with my Stamp Club on Friday evening. We usually swap cards, but I thought I would change it up a bit and make these to give to everybody! I "sandwiched" Peppermint Patties between scallop circles, then slid them into pretzel bags (can be found in the cake decorating aisle at your local craft store). The stamp set is Filled with Love from the Holiday Mini Catalog, but it is still available until January 24th.

There are so cute in person! I used my new Glimmer Paper for the punched circle behind " Be My Valentine". So sparkly!

Hope you are having a great week!!

Card for Day-Timers and Stamp Club

Hi! Hope you all had a Happy New Year!! We are well into 2011, and I hope you all have had a great start to the New Year!!

Today, I wanted to share a card with you that I created for my Day-Timers in December. We also stamped this card at my stamp club this past Friday. The inspiration for this card came from Jen Sannes, and you can check out her blog HERE. Make sure you give her a visit! She also did this same card in Pear Pizzaz and Blushing Bride. So pretty!!! The only thing I changed on her card is the extra layer of Baja Breeze for the card. Oh, the sentiment is different too, but you can use any sentiment! The stamp set Sincere Salutations goes great with this card! In fact, I sent out this card several times last month! The finished card is a 4-1/4 x 4-1/4.

Supplies:
Stamps: Occasional Quotes (hostess set)
Ink: Early Espresso
Paper: Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Elegant Soiree DSP
Accessories: Scallop Rectangle Clearlit, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Big Shot, Pearl Jewels, Dimensionals

Hope all is well!!!

Karen
