Idea for a Make & Take

Hi! I am on a Design Team for Make & Takes for a big event that is coming up on May 1st for Demonstrators and potential recruits. I am so looking forward to spending time with others who share my love for rubber stamping and Stampin' Up! I'll share more details on the event soon. Anyway, here is a card that I created to get an idea for a Make & Take. The Make & Takes will be created from the NEW stamp sets from the Summer Mini Catalog that will go live on May 1st! But since I cannot preorder anything until April 1st, I substituted for a similar stamp set and came up with a couple of ideas. Here is one of them...

Supplies:
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts, Sincere Salutations
Ink: Mellow Moss
Paper: Kraft, Mellow Moss, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, Scallop Oval Punch, Large Oval Punch, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals

Have a great Saturday!

Simple, elegant & fun!

Hi! Here are a couple of cards that I created based on the this card by Nichole Heady. For my first card, I stamped the flower image in Versamark because I thought the Bermuda Bay was too dark. A little lesson I learned...Versamark doesn't completely dry for a very looooonnnnggggg time. When I went to emboss my sentiment image, I had embossing powder everywhere on my flower image, even though I left it dry for a long time! So after 3 attempts, I was able to get a clean image for my sentiment. So beware, if you are stamping the background in Versamark, let it dry a very long time before embossing your sentiment. :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts
Ink: Versamark, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: White Embossing Powder

For the next card, I wheeled across the Pink Passion cardstock with a Jumbo Wheel. The card looked a little plain until I added the Rhinestones. It added a little bling!! Isn't this a perfect card for a special young girl?

Supplies:
Stamps: Spot On Jumbo Wheel, It's Your Birthday
Ink: Pink Passion, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Passion
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Rhinestones (non SU!), Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue

I have 2 more cards using this same layout for you on Tuesday.

So Peaceful!

Hi! Today's card idea came from the third card on this post by Nichole Heady. She is such a talented stamper! I get so much inspiration from her. This card is so peaceful, don't you think? I love the white on Kraft cardstock!

Supplies:
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts, More Great Greetings (very retired)
Ink: White Craft, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Kraft, Barely Banana
Accessories: Butterfly Punch, Half Pearl from Pretties Kit, White Embossing Powder, Mini Glue Dots

Hope you all had a great weekend! I'll be back tomorrow with a few more cards created from Nichole's inspiration!

Kind & Caring Thoughts with a Vase!

Hi! Before I get to the card that I have to share with you today, I wanted to give a big shout-out to all the Stampin' Up! Demonstrators that are at convention today! I sooooooo want to be there, but it just wasn't practical for me to be there this year. I have been a demonstrator for 9 years, and I think I have only missed 3 times. So it's very difficult to be here at home, knowing what a great time everyone is having in Salt Lake City on the first day of convention!! There is just something about being at convention with thousands of crazy demonstators loving the same thing that you do. It's an exhausting 3 days, but you can't imagine the feeling you go home with. Hi Sally, Mary & Sue!!!

Ok, onto the card...here is another card that I created using the Kind & Caring Thoughts stamp set. I created a vase using the Large Oval Punch, snipping off each end.

Supplies:
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts, Heard From the Heart
Ink: Elegant Eggplant (ink pad & marker), Old Olive Marker
Paper: Melon Mambo, Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Razzleberry Lemonade DSP
Accessories: Large Oval Punch, Dimensionals, Elegant Eggplant Grosgrain Ribbon, Mini Glue Dots

Have a great day!!

Simple Thoughts

Hi! Here is another card created from the Kind & Caring Thoughts stamp set, which is a Level 3 Hostess set. It's such a pretty set! My inspiration for my card came from this card on Sara's blog. And she case'd her card from another blog...and the trail lives on!! But they are all just slightly different. I changed the colors and added a layer. I stamped the flower 3 times without reinking my stamp.

Supplies:
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts

Ink: Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Creamy Carmel, Ruby Red, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Stampin' Sponges, Color Spritzing Tool

I know...I used the Color Spritzing Tool again! Love that tool! I'm not sure why I put it away for so long!

I'll be back tomorrow!! Have a great day!
