My Pride & Joy!

Hi!! Just thought I would drop in and share with you a picture of my pride and joy!! Tonight was my husband's Fantasy Football Draft!! This is a very serious thing, you know. Joe was having about 12 men, plus one from Alabama on a conference call, over tonight for the Big "Draft". If you have a big football fan in your family, you know what I mean. :) The NFL season begins next weekend, and we...I mean Joe, is so excited!! I've heard him mention it several times in the last couple of weeks! Since Joe was having the men over, RJ and I went to my parents today for dinner. Yummmm!! BBQ Pork Steaks!!! Before dinner, we sat outside for a bit and Grandpa wanted RJ to water his flowers (he actually did a great job watering the concrete patio and us!). So I thought I would break out the camera and takes a few pics. Here is one of my favorites...

Yes, he is a BIG Dallas Cowboys fan like his Daddy!!

Hope you are enjoying your long Holiday weekend!

Convention Make & Takes

Hi! Here are 2 of the make & takes that we stamped at convention. All convention attendees received 3 different stamp set to complete our make & takes. Here is the first one...

We created this nice gift bag using Inspired by Nature stamp set. We stamped the grass in Tangerine Tango, then stamped the flowers in white craft ink. The 3x3 gift card is punched, then slitted to fit on the handle of the gift bag.

The second project is a card created with the same stamp set. We stamp the grass with Versamark ink. For the flowers, we used a sponge dauber to apply the ink to the stamp, then added extra ink to the image where we wanted to show a little darker image.

Hope you enjoy these 2 samples. More to come later.

Have a great Holiday weekend!

Welcome!!

Hi! Welcome to my new Blog...Live, Laugh, and Stamp with Karen. My intention for this blog is to share some stamping with you and to share a bit about me with you. This is a new adventure for me, which I have been thinking about for several months. So bare with me as I become familiar with blogging. I hope when you stop by, you will feel inspired by the stamping projects that you see. I will also share a few things about me down the road so that you can see the personal side of my life and not just the stamping side. Feel free to leave me positive comments only.

This is a picture of me at Stampin' Up's annual convention in Salt Lake City back in July. We had such a great time! 2008 marks Stampin' Up's 20th anniversary. What a celebration it was!! I'll share some other convention pictures with you later.

Take care,
