Simple, elegant & fun!

Hi! Here are a couple of cards that I created based on the this card by Nichole Heady. For my first card, I stamped the flower image in Versamark because I thought the Bermuda Bay was too dark. A little lesson I learned...Versamark doesn't completely dry for a very looooonnnnggggg time. When I went to emboss my sentiment image, I had embossing powder everywhere on my flower image, even though I left it dry for a long time! So after 3 attempts, I was able to get a clean image for my sentiment. So beware, if you are stamping the background in Versamark, let it dry a very long time before embossing your sentiment. :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Kind & Caring Thoughts
Ink: Versamark, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Bermuda Bay
Accessories: White Embossing Powder

For the next card, I wheeled across the Pink Passion cardstock with a Jumbo Wheel. The card looked a little plain until I added the Rhinestones. It added a little bling!! Isn't this a perfect card for a special young girl?

Supplies:
Stamps: Spot On Jumbo Wheel, It's Your Birthday
Ink: Pink Passion, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Pink Passion
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Rhinestones (non SU!), Tombow Multi-Purpose Glue

I have 2 more cards using this same layout for you on Tuesday.

Ink: White Craft, Versamark
Paper: Whisper White, Kraft, Barely Banana
Accessories: Butterfly Punch, Half Pearl from Pretties Kit, White Embossing Powder, Mini Glue Dots

Hi! Here is another card that we stamped at my Day-Time Stampin' class this week. I have had a sketch written down for so long on a post-it note. It was stuck on one of my cabinets forever!!! So I thought I would put the sketch to good use for this card. I'm sorry I can't give credit to where I found this layout, but I didn't write down any notes with the sketch (like I said, it's been awhile since I wrote down this sketch). I thought it turned out pretty good!! Such cheery colors! As always, I leave various sentiments out for everybody to customize their own greeting. This card will work for many different sentiments.

Supplies:
Stamps: A Beautiful, Thank You Kindly, It's Beautiful Jumbo Wheel
Ink: Melon Mambo, So Saffron (ink cartridge)
Paper: So Saffron, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch, 1-1/4" & 1-3/8" Circle Punches, Trio Flower Punch, Silver Brads, Bermuda Bay Polka-Dot Ribbon, Dimensionals

Happy Friday to you!!! I'm looking forward to a not-so-busy weekend!!! I'm participating in a Vendor Show this evening. But other than that, I will be hanging around the house doing some much neglected projects!!

Pretty Butterfly!

Hi! Finally...a non-Holiday Card!! I have been having so much fun creating Christmas cards. It was challenging to create something different. But my 1st session of my November Day-Time Class met this week, so I wanted to make sure that they stamped a non-Holiday card or two!!

I was inspired to create the following card when I saw this card on the Simple & Sincere blog. I changed it up a bit and this is what I came up with. I love-love-love how the white just pops off the Bermuda Bay color!!! And look at that sentiment!!! Doesn't it just pop (it really does in real life!!)? I used my Chit Chat Rub-Ons!!! I'm not sure why I don't use my Rub-Ons more often! And the Chit Chat Rub-Ons are awesome! There are over 90 sentiments on each sheet. You get a Chocolate Chip sheet and White sheet! You get a HUGE variety of sentiments and they are sooooo easy to use! Check them out on page 177 in Stampin' Up's catalog! When you are ready to order, just contact me!! :)

Supplies:
Stamps: none!!
Ink: none!!!
Paper: Bermuda Bay, Whisper White, Vellum Cardstock, Thoroughly Modern DSP
Accessories: Scallop Edge Punch, Butterfly Punch, Chit Chat Rub-Ons, Half Pearl from Pretties Kit, Mini Glue Dots

Thanks for stopping by!

FTL66...some more Holiday cards!

Hi! I really tried to share some non-Holiday cards with you today, but they just didn't photograph well! I actually have 2 cards, and for some reason the color Bermuda Bay is not photographing well at all. It looks too blue, and not enough green. So hopefully the sun will be out in the morning and I can get better pictures.

So here are a couple of Holiday cards that I worked on Sunday evening. I was playing around with the FTL66 Sketch on the Clean and Simple blog, and here is what I came up with.

Supplies (above):
Stamps: Dasher, Four the Holidays
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DSP
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Horizontal Slot Punch, Dimensionals
Supplies (above):
Stamps: Delightful Decorations, Holidays & Wishes
Ink: Real Red, Chocolate Chip
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Merry Moments DSP
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon, Clear Rhinestones from Pretties Kit, Dimensionals

Have a great day!

Holiday Stamp-A-Stack Card #5

Hi! First of all, I would like to thank all my stampin' friends who joined me this weekend for my annual Holiday Stamp-A-Stack. I appreciate your support and I enjoyed chatting with everyone!! I hope you enjoyed yourself too!! Did the Christmas music put you in the Christmas mood? I have been listening to it all week while preparing for this class! My husband had to ask me once to turn it down!! I guess I got carried away! I love Christmas music! Do you have a favorite Christmas song or CD?

Here is my final card that we stamped at my annual Holiday Stamp-A-Stack. I have seen many cards with this layout and it's perfect for this stamp set. I didn't have enough Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon for everybody to make 2 cards. So they used the Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon for their second card. This card is so pretty in real life. The Dazzling Diamonds glitter is really what makes this card. It's kind of "flat" without it!! I found that it was easier to stamp the ornaments first, then the ribbon. Oh, and one more tip...when stamping the ribbon, do not "smoosh" your stamp. It won't be very pretty!! Just lightly stamp and add a little pressure. :)

Supplies:
Stamps: Tree Trimmings, Four the Holidays
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive
Paper: Old Olive, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Chocolate Chip Grosgrain Ribbon, Eyelet Border Punch, 2-way Glue Pen, Dazzling Diamonds Glitter

Ok, well that does it for my cards that we stamped at my Holiday Stamp-A-Stack this past weekend. I still have one more session for this event...Tuesday, December 1st at 10:00 a.m. Please join me if you are available during the day.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my Holiday Stamp-A-Stack cards!! I hope you are inspired to create your own Christmas cards!!

Holiday Stamp-A-Stack Card #3

Hi! I'm back to share with you Card #3 from my Holiday Stamp-A-Stack. My friend, Rita created a similar card for a Showbox Swap that I hosted several weeks ago. She used a Red and Green color combo, but I was using so much red/green for my Holiday cards, so I thought I would switch it up a bit. At first when I created this card, I used the Whisper White cardstock for my card, but it just didn't seem sturdy. I love-love-love our Whisper White Cardstock for stamping, because it's so smooth and the ink absorbs beautifully into the cardstock. But it's a lighter weight cardstock, and I don't think it's strong enough to stand up for a card unless you are creating a single layer card. So the card is Night of Navy, and I adhered another piece of Whisper White CS to the inside of the card to stamp a snowflake and the greeting.

Isn't the medallion piece pretty?

Supplies:
Stamps: Serene Snowflakes, Four the Holidays
Ink: Night of Navy, Versamark
Paper: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Brushed Silver
Accessories: Scallop Border Punch, White Embossing Powder, Silver Brads, Dimensionals

Check back for Cards #4 & #5 on Sunday and Monday.

Have a great weekend!

FTL #66

Hi! I created this card for the Fall-To-Layout #66 on the Clean & Simple Blog!! What would I do without this blog for so much of my inspiration? I just love their weekly challenges!!

For the snowflake in the middle of the ornament, I used Stampin' Up's Shimmer Paint with a Sponge Dauber and applied it directly to the stamp. It really shimmers!!! Nice little touch! This would be a great card to mass produce for your Christmas Card. So simple and very few supplies!!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Old Olive, Real Red, Very Vanilla, Dasher DSP (retired)
Accessories: Ornament Punch, Frost White Shimmer Paint, Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals

I can't believe I have been able to create 2 cards this week for my blog. I have my annual Holiday Stamp-A-Stack on Friday & Saturday. It's probably my biggest event of the year, and I am usually so busy with designing my cards and cutting cardstock!!! Don't get me wrong!! I have plenty still to do, but I have ALL 5 of my cards designed, and my samples made!!! I can't believe it!! It's kind of relaxing knowing that the design part is done!! So before I head upstairs to bed, I decided to make a clean and simple card for the blog. I hope you enjoy!!

Have a great rest of the week and I'll catch you back here soon!
