Christmas wreath

Hi! I saw a card in a sales brochure from a local Scrapbooking company, and I knew I wanted to try to recreate it Stampin' Up! style! Well, I kind of like it!! The most challenging part of this card was to find a sentiment in my collection that fit inside a 1-3/8" circle!! I had to look through my retired stamps and I found the perfect greeting from the Best Yet stamp set.

Supplies:
Stamps: Best Yet (retired)
Ink: Real Red
Paper: Garden Green, Real Red, Whisper White
Accessories: Square Lattice Emboss Folder, Big Shot, 2-1/2" & 1-3/8" Circle Punches, Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Mini Glue Dots

Ok, would love to hear your opinion on this card!! Do you like it?

Season's Greetings!

Hi! How about a pretty Christmas card??? You should see this card in person!! It really shimmers! I "shimmered" the top Whisper White cardstock with a mixture of Frost White Shimmer Paint and Alcohol. Make sure you use a good misting bottle for best results, and shake it up well. I also used some Crystal Effects and Dazzling Diamonds Glitter on the berries.

Supplies:
Stamps: Peaceful Season (Level 2 Hostess)
Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green & Cherry Cobbler Markers
Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White
Accessories: Frost White Shimmer Paint, Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Crystal Effects, Dazzling Diamonds, Dimensionals

Have you started on your Christmas cards???? Now is a great time! Please let me know if I can be of assistance.

Double die-cuts!!

Hi! Here is another little treat holder created from the Candy Wrapper Die. But this time I used 2 die-cuts and adhered them together to make it longer. The seam is covered up by the cardstock & DSP. I folded the bottom so that it is flat and pinched the top together, instead of twisting. So pretty! You can't see it, but the Pink Pirouette cardstock is shimmery! I sprayed it with a Shimmer Paint/Alcohol mixture in a Mist bottle. Oh, and the DSP that I used is retired!! Sorry!

Have a great Friday!!!

Candy Wrapper - flat bottoms!

Hi! Here are a couple of treat holders using the Candy Wrapper Die. For these, I folded the bottom, so that it was flat. For the tops, I did each one a bit different. For the one on the left, I pinched the sides together keeping it flat. Then held it close with some ribbon. For the one on the right, I did the traditional "twist" on the top. No adhesive or ribbon is necessary to keep it closed.
Please let me know if you have questions on these treats!!

The card that keeps giving...

Hi! Back in September, I attended a local Demonstrator event organized by my downline, Sally. She asked me to be part of the her Make & Take Design Team, and of course I said yes! Here is my make & take that I designed for Sally's event.

Following is the inside of the card. When I was at convention, one of the projects that was demonstrated on stage was a "recycled" card. By "recycled", I mean the card that keeps giving and giving. On the inside of the card, there is a small scalloped envelope with a few inserts inside the envelope. You can write your little message on the insert to the recipient. The recipient can then use the next insert for a Thank You card when she needs it. So this card can keep going and going. Brilliant!

Supplies:
Stamps: French Foliage, Thank You Kindly
Ink: Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Crumb Cake
Paper: Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Scallop Envelope, Texture Plates Kit #4, Big Shot, Dotted Scallop Ribbon Punch, Modern Label Punch, Metallic Brads, Dimensionals

Have a great day!!

some Halloween projects!!

Hi! Wow!! That was a long break!! Sometimes you just need a break, right???

Can somebody please tell me where October went?? Can't believe Halloween is this Sunday!!! I'm here today to show you some cute little Halloween Treat projects.

I just love the Candy Wrapper Die that is in the Holiday Mini Catalog. To tell you the truth, I trashed the first one I made. But after I got the feel on how to do the little twist, it's quite simple!!! And sooooooo cute!!!! Imagine making these for Christmas, Birthdays, Valentines, wedding favors, shower favors...anything!! Perfect for those sweet treats!!

My next project for you is a little holder for those cute test tubes that you have seen all over the net. And wouldn't you know it...I looked all over for Halloween M&M's since they would coordinate with the DSP, but I couldn't find any. So I had to settle for the Fall colors! But that's ok. No matter what color they are, they all taste yummy!!

And this next little project is one created by my good friend and fellow demonstrator, Rita. Very cute!! Rita was handing these out for her swap at our last Demonstrator Get-Together.

Ok, there you have it...a few Halloween Treats for you!!
Have a great week!

Love Fall Colors!

Hi! Here is another card that we stamped at my Friday Night Stamp Club and my Day-Time Stampin' Class. My inspiration for this card came from Beth's blog and her card can be seen HERE! I love Beth's card, and I knew I wanted to copy her idea using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch. So clever! To create this frame, you will need a 3"x3" cardstock square. Stamps: A Flower for all Seasons, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Jet Black Staz On, Cajun Craze

A French Foliage card

Hi! Thanks for stopping by today!! I have a card to share with you that we stamped this morning at my Day-Time Stampin' Class. I love the Fall colors!! I was very happy with how this card turned out. I needed a quick and simple card to offset the other 2 cards that had a few extra steps to complete. I'll share the other 2 cards this week, but one of them had a bit of watercoloring, so it was a little more time-consuming. So I think this one turned out great, and it was quick and simple!

Supplies:
Stamps: French Foliage, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Ink: Crumbe Cake, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso
Paper: Crumb Cake, More Mustard, Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla

Halloween Stamp Club Project!

Hi! I just love how this little project turned out!!! I played around with this project for a couple of days until I was happy with it. I knew I wanted to make a Halloween tag to attach to my new Mini Lunch Sacks, so the bag doesn't have to be ripped open to get to the treats!!! There are no holes punched through the bag with ribbon to hold it closed. Just these cute little clothes pins that I found in the office supply section at WalMart. I added a little strip of Designer Series Paper to the front of the clothes pin, and that was the final touch that I needed to make me happy!! Plus the little jewels on the shoes are awesome too!!
So here is the little treat bag that we created at my Friday night stamp club.

The tag really shimmers!!!! It's difficult to show in the photo, but I lightly sponged the raised edges of the spider web with Frost White Shimmer Paint and a sponge dauber, but then I spritzed some Smooch Spritz to add even more shimmer!! Love it!!

Stamps: Wicked Cool
Ink: Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry Marker

Happy Halloween!

Hi! I have been so anxious to use my Bitty Bat Punch!!! Love it!! Sorry to use some retired DSP, but my order with some new stuff is coming in this next week!! But I still like that paper!!

Supplies:
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes

Ink: Basic Black
Paper: Old Olive, Basic Black, Cast A Spell DSP (retired)
Accessories: Candy Wrapper Die, Big Shot, 1-1/4 & 1-3/8" Square Punch, Bitty Bat Large Punch, Black Satin Ribbon, Dimensionals

Ok, I will say the first little candy wrapper I made, was thrown in the trash! But after that first one, it is SOOOOOO much easier!! Just got to get the feel for the twisting part of the wrapper! Isn't it cute??? Perfect for little treats!! Great for party favors for birthdays, showers, or any holiday! And you can use a standard 8-1/2 x 11 sheet of cardstock! Don't need 12" paper!! This die is in the Holiday Mini Catalog!

Take care and hope you are having a great weekend!!
